The Twelve Days of Chiro

Let us help you get into a more festive mood this year by celebrating all the ways in which a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) can enrich our lives.
??????????????
On the first day of chiropractic care, your D.C. gave you – mobility to climb a tree. OK, I admit that’s a little silly, but the improved mobility and sports performance that chiropractic care helps provide you is no joke. Chiropractors are qualified to treat injuries such as those sustained by falling out of a tree and also help to improve your flexibility and mobility. These are important abilities that add to the quality of your life. How else are you going to get that partridge in a pear tree?
On the second day of chiropractic, your D.C. gave you – relief from headaches. Life is full of wonderful things, but it’s also full of stress that can take its toll on your body and lead to headaches. If you suffer from headaches, including migraines, then your chiropractor can help by finding the cause of the headaches and treating them. That’s definitely something to sing about, with or without turtle doves.
On the third day of chiropractic, your D.C. gave you – a healthier immune system. Your chiropractor may specialize in your spine, and a healthy spine is an integral part of a healthy body. A spine that is aligned and moving correctly helps your whole body work better, including your immune system. When your central nervous system is able to communicate unimpeded with the rest of your body, then you don’t have to worry about contracting some weird illness from those French hens.
On the fourth day of chiropractic, your D.C. gave you – a more comfortable pregnancy. Growing another human inside your body is miraculous and special, but it’s not very comfortable. You can experience back pain due to your changing weight and changing center of gravity, and an increase in muscle spasms. With your chiropractor in your corner, you can make this incredible experience one you look back on fondly without focusing on how extraordinarily uncomfortable you were. That’s the gift that truly keeps on giving — and is worth calling out!
On the fifth day of chiropractic, your D.C. gave you – a reduction of chronic pain. Back pain is a big deal and something many people will experience over the course of their lives. Using chiropractic to relieve back pain is natural, drug-free, and relatively inexpensive to other medical treatments. More money for presents and less back pain – winning! Maybe you can afford those golden rings after all.
On the sixth day of chiropractic, your D.C. gave you – less dependency on medication. OK, this one is no six geese a-laying – it’s so much better than that! People with chronic low back pain are often treated with medications that only mask the symptoms and don’t really treat the underlying problem causing the pain. Chiropractors don’t approach back pain that way because they want to find the root of the problem and fix it to help you find relief. See? So much better than a bunch of geese; those things are mean.

On the seventh day of chiropractic, your D.C. gave you – lower blood pressure. Hey, there’s nothing like this festive season to get your blood pressure up! But we’re not talking about short-term anger over Aunt Erma’s figgy pudding here; we’re talking about chronic high blood pressure, which is a very serious condition. Chiropractic adjustments have been shown to help control blood pressure in patients. So, take a deep breath, envision those swans a-swimming, and see your chiropractor.
On the eighth day of chiropractic, your D.C. gave to you – improved digestion. What do you plan to do with all that milk you’ve got those eight maids a-milking? If you’re going to drink it, then you’re lucky to receive regular chiropractic care. Many people suffer from digestive disorders for a variety of reasons, but as you improve your overall health with chiropractic you could be improving your digestion, too.
On the ninth day of chiropractic, your D.C. gave you – more energy. Everyone could use a little more energy, don’t you think? When your body is working optimally, you feel better and have more energy to do the things you enjoy. I bet those nine ladies dancing in the original 12 Days of Christmas saw a chiropractor regularly.
On the tenth day of chiropractic, your D.C. gave you – better sleep. People in less pain sleep better. It’s just a fact. According to the National Sleep Foundation, only 37 percent of people with chronic pain report sleeping well. If you’re not getting good sleep, then you’re not achieving optimal health. If you have chronic pain, counting lords a-leaping to get to sleep isn’t going to help; you need to see a chiropractor.
On the eleventh day of chiropractic, your D.C. gave you – reduction of stress. If your life is a series of pipers piping out of control and you find you’re having a tough time dealing with the stress in your life, then you need chiropractic. Chiropractic care has been found to be quite useful in helping patients manage their stress levels better and be more relaxed.
On the twelfth day of chiropractic, your D.C. gave you – increased wellness.

Imbalances in your spine can cause inflammation and irritation, which can cause problems with the communication between your central nervous system and the rest of your body. When normal communication is restored, your body can function as it was meant to and heal itself. That is why chiropractors are really doctors of wellness, because the adjustments they make to your spine have positive effects on your entire body, leading to improved health and wellness. They keep your drummers drumming.

So, there you have it – the 12 days of chiropractic. That wasn’t so bad, was it?
