2. Silverettes!
3. Get the creams
4. Lactation Consultant
5. Remember you are both learning
6. It’s ok to say I’m not ok.
7. Positions keep trying a different one
8. Pain is not ok – it’s not normal for it to hurt; it is common because see number 5.
9. Supplementing (either with formula or breast milk, with a bottle or a feeding line) is common and can help you get to your goal of continuing to breastfeed (if this is your goal, it’s also ok if it isn’t; do what is best for you and your family)

Breastfeeding is often said to be ‘natural’; I like to say it is Biological. I say this because ‘natural’ often makes mothers feel that is it synonymous with ‘easy’ or ‘destined’ when in reality breastfeeding is a learned skill much like walking, talking, jumping, or dancing. Some of us come to these tasks easily and some of us struggle and some of us are unable or some of us find our own way. Breastfeeding is biological because some of our bodies have the parts given to us in our development, but how or why we use them is up to us. Let me help you reach your goal to feed your child; in whatever way you need to me. –
