Day 2: Food Prep: throughout my pregnancy my sister Rachael and I prepped food and froze it; mostly soups, energy balls, muffins, lasagna, and pasta casseroles. I cannot recommend this more; we did enough that I am 9 week postpartum and just running out of our prep. Yes I did have to buy a chest freezer but the convenience of having nutritious food on demand has been invaluable. I am the type of person that when tired or hangry will make choices around food that will make me feel sick. I knew postpartum would be difficult/tiring (yup even though I planned I still underestimated it) and this would not play to my strengths. Eat warm nourishing food.
Some of my favourites were:- Oh She Glows: African peanut soup, glowing spiced lentil soup, spiced red lentil, tomato and kale soup, https://ohsheglows.com/categories/recipes-2/food-sides/sides-soup/-
Turkey bone broth stew with wild rice (she was born in November, so we have left overs from Christmas Dinner)-
