Covid-19 Precautions in Place
March 19, 2020 Posted in: ADJUSTMENTS
The following is an important message regarding the COVID-19 virus, as it pertains to our office protocols and your appointments.
Firstly, we remain open at this time to serve you.
However, we now have a strict screening protocol for everyone before entering the office.
Specifically, you are asked to STAY HOME and call us to re-schedule your appointments if you answer “YES” to any of the following screening questions:
1. Do you have a fever (greater to or equal to 38 degrees)?
2. Do you have a cough?
3. Do you have any flu-like symptoms? (feeling unwell, excessive fatigue, sore throat, chills, sweats, diarrhea)
4. Have you traveled outside of Canada in the last 14 days?
5. Have you been in close contact with anyone who has been outside of Canada in the last 14 days?
Again, if you answer yes to any of these questions – PLEASE – do not come to the office. Call us instead.
Additionally, if you suffer from a condition that compromises your immune system, it is recommended that you stay home until further notice.
If you are looking for advice / next steps if you’re feeling unwell, or aren’t sure about any symptoms you have, we recommend calling Telehealth 1-866-797-000 or Public Health at hkpr.on.ca or 1-866-888-4577. Health officials are NOT recommending that you show up at emergency rooms or your primary health provider’s office.
There is a drive-through screening station at RMH if you are concerned or have symptoms of the virus.
As for our office procedures, you can be assured that we are taking appropriate and extra cautious measures to help protect everyone’s health.
Here at the clinic, we are: – We are cleaning the office throughout the day. – We are disinfecting surfaces after each usage including counters, treatment tables, exercise equipment.
– We are disinfecting the debit machine after each usage.
– We have alcohol-based hand sanitizer in each clinic room. Please feel free to use it. And as always we have soap in the bathroom. – We have removed all magazines and toys in the waiting room.
We are in the perfect position to prevent it, let’s get to work and help each other.
Yours in health,
Adelaide Clinic
