Are Masks Effective?

Recently published research has indicated that face masks prevent the transmission of various bacteria and viruses, including COVID-19. When research participants exhale their breath without wearing a face mask, not only were viruses detected in large droplets, but also in small particle aerosols. When wearing a surgical face mask, it substantially reduced the virus from being introduced into the environment. A face mask helps block the large droplets & aerosols from traveling further into the environment. This means everyone should wear a mask, even if they are asymptomatic to hold their own droplets to prevent transmitting the virus to one another.
