Chiropractic

Drug free treatments to help eliminate your pain: “Chiropractic” derived from the Greek, meaning “Treatment by Hand”.

What is chiropractic?

Among the largest primary health care profession in Ontario, chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the musculoskeletal system.
Chiropractors treat primarily using their hands, providing diagnosis, treatment and preventive care for disorders related to the spine, pelvis, nervous system and joints.

Chiropractic is simply a
treatment that stands up.

How does it work?

Chiropractic gives proper attention to your spine.
Your Spine and your brain give function to the rest of our body - if they are not in order, then the rest of your body is completely affected.

Your spine has a very important function in your body. Not only does it support your body’s weight, it also protects your spinal cord, which is the “central highway” of your nervous system. Our ability to walk, run, jump, lift, and feel almost every sensation below our neck requires a healthy spine. Chiropractic treatment works by helping to restore your body’s own ability to be healthy. It can actually open the doors for better sensory perception, less pain, a clearer mind and better mobility.

11 million Canadians suffer from a musculoskeletal condition.
Your chiropractor can help.

What is an
adjustment?

Chiropractic joint manipulation, also known as an “adjustment”, is a treatment where the chiropractor uses his or her hands to apply a very quick, precise, and safe amount of pressure directly on the problem area of your spine. This pressure momentarily separates the joints, allowing a gas bubble to escape (this is the popping sound or cracking noise you may have heard about). This relieves the pressure on the joint and surrounding nerves, allowing your spine to return to its proper position. The adjustment is not painful, and often provides immediate relief. It’s a simple treatment that works.

Back pain is still the number one reason people see their family doctors. Treat your pain without the use of drugs, for a better, healthier life.

Road to recovery

Adelaide Clinic Roadmap to Recovery

1. Relief Care

Most Patients consult our office because they have an ache or a pain. Their goal? Relief. That's our first objective. A thorough examination reveals areas of spinal dysfunction. Then, we offer a care plan designed to give you the best result in the shortest amount of time. Visits are frequent during this period of intensive care. Each visit builds on the one before, so keep your appointments to get the best results.

2. Decision Time

When you're feeling better, you'll have a decision to make. Will you continue with the care necessary to fully heal soft tissues? Or abandon the investment that you've made so far? When you continue your care, visits are less frequent and progress will be less dramatic. If you end your care before fully healing muscles and soft tissues, you can invite a relapse. Whatever your choice, we're here to serve and help support you in your decision.

3. Wellness Care

Your health affects everything you do and everyone you know. With so many people depending on you, it makes sense to invest in your health.

A program of chiropractic checkup can help you be the caring parent, the loving spouse, the understanding friend, or the dependable employee. Invest in your health. You're worth it!
