Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists study the science of movement. We learn how to pinpoint an injury’s root causes, and work with you to fix the problem.

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy assess patients with muscle or joint conditions in order to reduce and eliminate pain and address muscle weakness, loss of stability and limited functional abilities.
Physiotherapists work to pinpoint an injury’s root cause and establish a treatment plan to correct it.

Are you moving poorly
because you are in pain, or are you in pain
because you are moving poorly?
Physio:
How does it work?

Our physiotherapist will assess your condition and establish a treatment plan consistent with your needs and goals. Your treatment plan may include things like manual therapy, joint mobilizations, soft tissue work, personalized exercise programs designed to improve strength, range of motion and function, activity specific exercises for things like return to sport or work, acupuncture or dry-needling, or modalities designed to reduce pain and swelling such as ultrasound, Interferential Current Therapy, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, all well as heat and ice.

When should I go see a
Physiotherapist?

At any age, if you have experienced anything from strains and surgery to a motor vehicle accident, or if you just want to incorporate more physical activity into your life, physiotherapy can help.

Some of the most common conditions include sprains/strains, back or neck pain, arthritis, incontinence, bursitis, posture problems, sport and workplace injuries and reduced mobility.
