WHAT WILL WE COVER?

The included classes focus on back pain, posture, pelvic floor rehabilitation, stretch and strengthening, incontinence, pelvic organ prolaspe, pain during intercourse, preventing, reducing and resolving symptoms that have been dubbed inevitable consequences of childbirth.

We have broken our classes down into a series of small videos, inorder to help you strive to do a portion of these classes each day. As Moms ourselves, we know that some days you just don’t have an abundance of time for yourself. So couple classes together, do small portions, go at your own pace.

Replay videos and come back to portions that you’re finding more difficult.

Meet Our Team

Dr. Jacquelyn Nicholls, DC

Welcome to our Postpartum and Beyond Program; Restore your pelvic floor and core! I am so excited for you to invest in yourself. Since having my daughter in 2020; I have found there to be a huge gap in postpartum care for mothers. This is what spurred us to create this online course series. I have been treating moms, moms- to – be, infants and children for over 10 years. I am a registered Doctor of Chiropractic in Ontario Canada, Acupuncture Provider, Webster Certified ICPA Chiropractor, PIPs Technique certified, GrowCo Ambasseteur, Pelvic Rehabilitation instructor and clinic owner at the Adelaide Clinic in Lindsay Ontario, Canada.  My aim for you is to connect with your body in a positive way, be empowered to seek solutions and in general, enjoy this phase of motherhood with less pain.

I discovered pelvic floor rehab through my own injuries. I had a grade 3 pelvic floor tear with my first daughter, a retained placenta that was forcibly reduced; leaving me with a grade 3 uterine and bladder prolapse. This was misdiagnosed by 2 health care providers. My healing was slow, unpredictable and much, much longer than expected. I was met with little support and my symptoms were dismissed often; being told I was just impatient or that I didn’t understand my body. In my clinical practice and here online; I want to change this narrative for mothers. We have included lectures and exercises to help you learn and embrace change in your life. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you along your journey.

FAQS

  • WHAT RESULTS SHOULD I EXPECT

Our goal is for you to connect with your body on a daily basis, for a time frame that works for you and your family. The course will be released to you on a weekly basis, with videos which build on each other. You should expect to find a deeper connection and increased strength in your pelvic floor, core and postural muscles. You will learn why these are important to work together and what syndromes and dysfunction to watch out for in the postpartum period.

If you don’t feel 50% better upon completion of this program we would encourage you to seek individual care; with either a chiropractor or physiotherapist.

  • WHAT IS MY PELVIC FLOOR AND WHY DO I CARE?

    1. Your pelvic floor; in someone who either identifies as female or anatomically female; is a series of muscles that support your pelvic floor or the bottom of your pelvis. They maintain the structure and integrity of your pelvic organs such as your bladder, uterus, vaginal opening, anus and rectum.

  • WHAT CLOTHES SHOULD I WEAR?

The short (and most realistic) answer is, whatever you are wearing when you have a few moments to press play on the course.

For the more in depth practice classes you may want to have on clothes that are stretchy and easy to move in. That can look like yoga pants and a sports bra, athletic shorts and T shirt, or pajamas/lounge wear.

The nice thing about this being a virtual course is that the only ones who might be watching you are your little ones
