Your treatment plan may include manual therapy, joint mobilizations, soft tissue work, post-op surgery, personalized exercise programs designed to improve strength, range of motion, and function, or activity-specific exercises for things like return to sport or work, rehabilitation, acupuncture, or dry needling, and taping.

Physiotherapy may include modalities designed to reduce pain and swelling such as ultrasound, Interferential Current Therapy, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, as well as heat and ice.

  • Do you do direct billing?

    Yes we do, find out more here.

  • Virtual Physiotherapy can be performed in 3 different ways:

    1. The physiotherapist will be at a remote location and the patient present in Adelaide Clinic with a Physiotherapist assistant (PTA) to aid the patient and physiotherapist in assessment and execution of rehabilitation exercises. Follow up appointments will also follow this routine.
    2. The patient is at a remote location (possibly their home or vacation) and the physiotherapist is at Adelaide Clinic
    3. Both parties are at remote locations.
  • What to expect with Virtual Physiotherapy

    – Please fill out forms ahead of your visit

    1. Secure Zoom Link to your appointment.

     

    1. The morning of your appointment, our admin team will call you to confirm your appointment, receive payment, process any insurances you may or may not have and have you ready for your appointment with your physiotherapy provider.
    2. If you are coming into the clinic for your appointment;  our PTA will assist you with any paperwork and exercises.
    3. Please arrive 15 min early to ensure a smooth transition into your appointment.

     

     

  • Do you have a gym?

    Adelaide Clinic has a state of the art gym located on-site. Focused on your recovery, it is equipped with a treadmill, bike, weights, resistance exercise bands, exercise balls, shoulder pulleys, Bosu balance trainer, foam rollers, dumbbells, examination table to name a few.

  • What is interferential current & electro therapies?

    Electrotherapy is a form of medical treatment, which uses small electrical impulses to repair tissue, stimulate muscles, and increase sensation and muscle strength.

    The benefits of electrotherapy are wide-ranging and include a more advanced healing process, a more effective circulatory system, and increased muscle tone. The effects of electrotherapy include a reduction in pain, increased strength, increased range of movement, increased speed and strength of muscle contractions, and an increased rate of absorption.

    Interferential Current and Electrotherapies are added to Chiropractic or Physiotherapy appointments as required to maximize treatment of your pain.
